"GRACE ASTER", a.k.a. Trais Kliphuis, Born of Dutch immigrants, Trais grew up on Long Island spending the summers in the Netherlands, the weekends in Manhattan, and the winters in the Dutch Carribean where her dearest uncle lived and was part owner of a small airline. It is there that she developed her initial interest in aviation, flying in small planes from island to island. She studied Chemical Engineering at Tufts University and then pursued a career as a painter and performance artist. During this time, she founded the EDI - Erotech Dance Institute whose students include some of the Snapping Turtles. She is currently employed by the State of New Mexico as an Environmental Engineer.
